FAQs

Can I buy the courses online?

All of our experience courses are available to purchase online, Winter Rally School and our Intensive Courses can be booked over the phone. Our secure payment gateway allows you to safely enter your credit card details and purchase a voucher for the available events. The voucher can be redeemed at any time when there is a course available, for 12 months from the purchase date. Simply purchase a voucher online and email us to book. For our Intensive Courses, or if you’d rather book with a member of our team please call us on 0113 4140591.

How does the voucher work?

If you have a gift voucher, it is an open gift voucher valid for 12 months at any one of our locations. The issue date will be detailed on the voucher. The recipient then calls our office and registers themselves onto a location of their choosing during the 12 month period. We are a mobile rally school operating at specific locations on pre-set dates (always weekends) throughout the year.

Vouchers are extendible as long as still valid and are transferable for an administration fee.

How do I book onto a day?

Just email us at admin@extreme-rally.co.uk and we will give you a selection of available dates to choose from.

Are there any height or weight restrictions?

It is the height/weight ratio which is important. For instance, a participant who is tall at 6′ 3 and of medium build for their height will fit in car. Also a participant who is small in height but of big build will also fit in car. A problem can arise when the participant is very tall (over 6′ 3) and of big build.

For Junior Rally participants need to be over 135cm.

Are there any age or licence restrictions?

Participants need to be full licence holders. The length of time that the licence has been held for is not relevant. All full licence holders are covered under our insurance.

For Junior rally, the participant must be 10 years old and over (obvioulsy there are no licence restrictions).

What happens on the day?

On arrival, participants register and help themselves to refreshments from our hospitality truck. There is a safety briefing, then the participants are divided into groups of four who then share the same instructor and car throughout the course.

All tuition takes place in the car. The participant sits behind the wheel and the instructor sits in the passenger seat which is fitted with dual brakes. They both have intercoms in their helmets which enables the instructor to teach the participant the necessary skills required. The experience is similar to a driving lesson, but much more fun!!

Does a participant need any previous rallying experience to take part?

No, most people who attend our courses have no experience whatsoever. Our courses are designed for fun, although our teaching methods are constructive. A half day course covers several basic rallying skills and on full day courses participants have an opportunity to progress to some advanced rallying skills. However our main objective is for each participant to have a fantastic and memorable experience. Our courses are progressive so if the participant has completed the ‘Supersprint’ or ‘Battle of the Thoroughbreds’ experiences the ‘Supercar Experiences’ would be the next step, therefore if you do have previous rally experience you still have plenty of options.

How much driving time does a participant receive?

Supersprint participants have 1 session of 15 minutes in car Battle of the Thoroughbred and Mitsubishi Super Car Duo participants have 2 sessions of 15 minutes in car and Junior courses include 3 sessions of 10 minutes in car.

On half day course we provide 3 sessions of 15 minutes in car. On full day course we provide 6 sessions of 15 minutes in car. Our courses are designed to give you the most driving time in comparison to most of the current rally schools.

All timings include belting drivers in and out of cars.

What time do the courses start?

We offer half day morning and afternoon courses. The morning course is held between 9.00am and 12.30pm and the afternoon course is held between 1.30pm and 5.00pm. Full day courses are held between 9.00am and 5.00pm. Sign in and the safety briefing will be held 15 minutes before the start time.

Supersprint, Mitsubishi Supercar Duo and Battle of the Thoroughbred experiences have arrival times of 9.00am, 11.00am and 2.00pm.

Do you provide high speed passenger rides?

Yes the driver can buy high speed passenger rides for them self and any of their spectators who want to join in the action. The price for a ride on the rally stage is £25.00.
